We gratefully received the NJHT Grant!
We are pleased and grateful to receive a New Jersey Historic Trust fund grant. One of the criteria for receiving it was the ways the building is used by the community.
Union hosts SCEEP, a tutoring program; IHN, for the temporarily homeless; and originated the Side Door, an after school program. We are home to many community groups including our 100 year old Boy Scout troop. We expanded our Nursery School when pre-K was dropped from the public schools. Programs are often held at Union, when public buildings are not available.
Voters funded the grant program in a 2009 public referendum. We are committed to serve the community and grateful for this opportunity to do so safely and in a way that will preserve the past for the future.
