James Joyce's "The Dead"
Voices singing Irish songs and the stamp of feet doing the Irish jig in James Joyce’s ‘The Dead’, adapted by Richard Nelson and Shaun Davey was observed in the Spring Performances. Going back to turn of the century Ireland and watching a festive holiday gathering of friends and family, hosted by three beloved music teachers, two aging sisters and their niece, ending with a poignant husband and wife love scene. All at the experienced direction of Donald Sheffrin, choreographed by Marvin Krieger and musical portions directed by Clarissa Schoch.
