Please join us in the Assembly Room on Sunday, June 7th after worship for a sale of select items handcrafted by the Bethlehem Fair Trade Artisans (BFTA), including sandals and olive wood creches, keepsake boxes, and cheeseboards. BFTA (https://bethlehemfairtrade.org/) is a non-profit NGO, established in 2009, that aims to improve the lives of Palestians by connecting marginalized Palestinian artisans – mostly women – with a larger market for their products. Their work is essential to the life of the community, especially in the wake of settler violence which has cut off the tourist trade and other sources of income.
The suggested donation for each item reflects a deep discount. You are also welcome to donate what you wish. You can pay with cash or use the QR code available at our table.
