NEEC is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization devoted to empowering communities in New Jersey and throughout the Northeast to protect the environment, grow food locally, and strengthen community resilience. NEEC stewards five community vegetable gardens and three pollinator gardens, and distributes food through 17 Food Community Network dispersal sites (aka Free Little Food Pantries) located across five towns in northern New Jersey. The food they grow and distribute supports local organizations that support seniors, the disabled, the unhoused, and the food insecure. NEEC is nurturing a healthier society through education about and appreciation of local fresh, sustainably raised produce and products.
