One Saturday a month at 9AM (September through June)
Come To The Women’s Breakfast This Saturday, May 17 At 9am In The Assembly Room
So you want to write a book…
Our guest speaker, Susan Alexander, is flying in from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for our May Women’s Breakfast! There is a saying that every Frenchman wants to own a vineyard and write a novel. Unfortunately, it is estimated that 97% of people who begin to write a book never finish it. Susan’s talk will give you insights about how a book gets written and what happens once it is finished. She is the author of twenty-seven novels. Her writings focus on women who have led complex and interesting lives, their relationships, and the choices they have made.In addition to Susan’s talk, a delicious breakfast will be served, with gluten-free options.
Tuesdays at 4pm
Join the Archives small group – we meet Tuesday afternoons from 4pm to 5pm in the Archives Room on the 2nd floor of the Vincent Building. We are in the midst of a multi-year project organizing Union’s documents, photographs, pictures, and more – all the while sharing conversation, laughter and fun, interesting, and often inspirational facts and lessons from those who came before us.
Wednesdays at 10:30am
Come build community through 45 minutes of chair yoga. Seated in a chair, we will move gently, mindfully, stretching, and finding our alignment both internally and externally. Breath is emphasized as is a smile. Modifications are always provided and we move at a pace that is appropriate for all levels and all ages.
Twice a month in the Guild Room, usually the first and third Wednesday at noon.
Sages is a group of older members and friends that meet twice a month for a brown bag lunch and informal discussion of questions and issues that are relevant in that stage of their lives. The purpose of the group is to build community and support by providing a forum for discussion and gathering as a community.
